Congratulations to Jackson Smith on being named to Team Canada Red for the upcoming World U17 Hockey Challenge, set for November 2-11 in Charlottetown and Summerside, P.E.I.

The event features teams from Canada, the United States, Czechia, Finland and Sweden.

Jackson was selected second overall by the Tri-City Americans in the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft after scoring 38 points (15-23-38) with our U15 Prep team during the 2021/22 season. Last year in an injury shortened campaign, Jackson had nine points (5 G, 4 A) in 16 CSSHL regular season games for the U18 Prep team before tallying four goals in five playoff games to help the squad to a CSSHL Championship. 

This season is Jackson's first full campaign in the WHL. He has appeared in all 10 games for the Americans, recording two assists.

Jackson is one of just 44 Canadian players named to the event.
