The 2026 WHL Prospects Draft took place on May 6 & 7, with 10 Mountaineers hearing their names called by Western Hockey League clubs.
U15 Prep forward, Brody Antignani, was the first Mountaineer off the board, selected by the Spokane Chiefs (1st Round, 12th Overall) after two outstanding seasons in the CSSHL. In 81 combined regular season and playoff games with U15 and U15 Prep, Antignani recorded 187 points, including 92 goals and 95 assists.
U15 Prep defenceman, Keyn Lindberg, was drafted by the Red Deer Rebels (3rd Round, 48th Overall) following two strong seasons on the blue line with U15 and U15 Prep that saw him total 49 points in 75 combined games.
Forward Luke Bodtker earned selection by the Medicine Hat Tigers (3rd Round, 57th Overall) after compiling 109 points (44 G, 65 A) in 70 combined games across the regular season and playoffs with U15 and U15 Prep.
Defenceman Zach Pomeroy was picked by the Vancouver Giants (4th Round. 74th Overall) after producing 64 points in 66 combined CSSHL games, while fellow U15 Prep defenceman Kai Genereaux was selected by the Lethbridge Hurricanes (6th Round, 120th Overall) after posting 13 points in 32 combined games this season.
Forward Lachlan Kisio was drafted by the Brandon Wheat Kings (7th Round, 153rd Overall) after recording 51 points in 62 combined games, while Cade Mazurski was selected by the Kamloops Blazers (7th Round, 158th Overall) after tallying 87 points in 73 combined games over his U15 and U15 Prep career.
Hockey Skill Academy student-athlete Charlie Usher was chosen by the Victoria Royals (8th Round, 166th Overall) after helping Edge's U15 team capture a CSSHL Championship last season. Usher registered 45 points in 40 combined CSSHL regular season and playoff games and is set to join the U17 Prep team next season.
In goal, Cohen Spencer was drafted by the Portland Winterhawks (9th Round, 189th Overall) after backstopping the U15 Prep team to a CSSHL Western Championships finals appearance. Spencer earned 11 wins in 24 combined regular season and playoff games while posting a 2.76 goals-against average and .912 save percentage during the playoffs.
Joining Spencer in Portland is forward James Butterwick, who was also selected by the Portland Winterhawks (9th Round, 194th Overall). Butterwick compiled 80 points in 76 combined games with U15 and U15 Prep.
The 2026 WHL Prospects Draft once again highlighted the strength of Edge School's hockey program and its continued commitment to developing student-athletes for success at the next level.
