Oct. 16-19 was a weekend to remember for the Edge School hockey program, as both the U17 Prep and U15 teams captured tournament titles while going undefeated.
At the Canadian Crown, U17 Prep delivered a statement performance, closing out the tournament with a perfect 5–0–0 record, beating the NWCAA Flames (3-2), Fraser Valley (3-1), PAC Saints (5-2), CIHA (4-1), and Red Deer (5-0). The group combined depth scoring with defensive precision and exceptional goaltending from
Delano Pockar and
Zach Henry, who posted a remarkable 1.17 GAA and .967 SV% across five games. The win capped off a dominant run that showcased the team's balance, consistency and compete level among the top prep programs in Western Canada.
The U17 Prep team played 18 games in 31 days during October, finishing with an outstanding 16-2 record.
Meanwhile, at our host Western Sport School Challenge, our U15 Mountaineers also went undefeated (5–0), earning decisive victories over Bow Valley (11–0), Prairie (4–2), Okotoks (4–1), Beaumont (7–0), and CIHA (3–2) to claim the championship. The results reflect the team's strong all-around play and growing confidence as the season progresses.
Congratulations to both teams on these tournament victories.
