Edge School is proud to celebrate five members of our Female U18 Prep hockey team who have announced their commitments for the 2026/27 season. This group has been at the core of our program's culture, leadership, and competitive success, and we are thrilled to see them take the next step in their athletic and academic journeys.
Samantha Baker – University of Alberta (U SPORTS)
Across three seasons with Edge, Sam has registered 47 points in 70 CSSHL games and brings a strong two-way presence to the lineup. She also represented Team Alberta at the 2025 National Aboriginal Hockey Championships.
Lila Deis – University of Minnesota, Mankato (NCAA)
A dynamic forward, Lila has recorded 23 points in 37 CSSHL games. She represented Team Alberta at both the 2024 and 2025 U18 Women's National Championships and earned leadership roles as an assistant captain with Edge Female U18 Prep and with Team Alberta.
Alexis Ehrman – St. Cloud State University (NCAA)
A steady force in net, Alexis has backstopped Edge to a 19-15-2 CSSHL regular season record with a 2.74 GAA and .917 save percentage. A 2024/25 CSSHL Top Goaltender finalist, she also represented Team Alberta at the 2025 U18 Women's National Championship and is serving as a co-captain this season.
Avaya McCann – Trinity Western University (U SPORTS)
A three-year member of the U18 Prep program, Avaya has tallied 32 points in 65 CSSHL games. Known for her versatility and athleticism, she also competes in high-level box lacrosse and has represented Team Alberta.
Cassia Severin – University of Alberta (U SPORTS)
Cassia has been a reliable contributor over her three seasons with the program, collecting 24 points in 50 CSSHL games and consistently anchoring play at both ends of the ice.
We are incredibly proud of Sam, Lila, Lex, Avaya and Cass. Their dedication, work ethic, and leadership have left a lasting impact on our program. We look forward to cheering them on as they continue their careers at the post-secondary level next season.
