Jomha Represents Canada at FISU Games, Wins Silver

It wasn't the finish that class of 2020 grad, Aliya Jomha, and her Canadian teammates were looking for, falling 2-1 in the gold medal game in an overtime nail-biter against a formidable Czechia team at the FISU Games. But despite the loss, Canada's effort was commendable, and the silver medal was a testament to the team's hard work and determination throughout the tournament.

For Jomha, the FISU Games were more than just a medal-winning experience; it was an opportunity to grow as a player and a rare opportunity to represent Canada on the international stage. Aliya finished the tournament with three goals and an assist, and her offensive contributions were vital in Canada's early dominance.

We wanted to congratulate you on the chance to wear the red and white, and coming home from Italy with a silver medal, Aliya! Good luck with the Mount Royal University Cougars the rest of this season as you wrap up your university career.
