Congrats to former Mountaineer (played on our U15 Prep & U18 Prep teams) and current Brandon Wheat Kings Defenceman, Charlie Elick, on being named to Canada's 2024 IIHF U18 World Championship Team Roster. This will be the third time Chuck has been selected to represent Canada after also being named to the World U17 Challenge (2022), and Hlinka Gretzky Cup (2023).

Bringing a bruising, physical style to the Wheat Kings, Elick posted 27 points in 65 games for the Wheat Kings this season. In the playoffs, he posted three assists in four games and he was just announced as the 31^st ranked North American skater for the upcoming 2024 NHL Entry Draft.
