Congratulations to class of 2022 grad, Xavier Spencer, on being named as not only the Ontario University Athletics Rookie of the Year, but the U SPORTS Rookie of the Year as well.

The 1st year Carleton Raven led all U SPORTS rookies in points, field goals, free throws, and assists while ranking in the top ten in three-point field goals, rebounds and steals.

Xavier stormed onto the scene for the Ravens in 2023-24, leading the Ravens in minutes played, field goals and points while starting all 22 regular season games. The guard showed why at 19 he's already appeared internationally for Antigua and Barbuda.

Averaging 27.0 minutes per game, Spencer earned McKeen Metro Glebe Athlete of the Week twice in January. Xavier's 72 assists eclipsed the previous rookie record of 61 set by Phil Scrubb in 2010-11 while his 31 steals also established a new high watermark for the program.
