Congratulations to Brooke Disher, Makayla Watson and Sarah Wozniewicz on being selected to Canada's National Women's Teams that will play against Team USA in Lake Placid Aug. 16-19.

Brooke and Sarah will suit up for the National Development Team while Makayla will be playing on the U18 Team.

• Brooke was a Mountaineer for two years, and played on the Edge U15 team in 2016/17. This year was her first season at Boston College where she suited up for the Terriers. Brooke played in all 34 contests, tallying seven goals and 10 assists for 17 points. She was named to the Hockey East All-Rookie Team and was runner-up for Hockey East Rookie of the Year.
• Makayla spent 2021-2023 at Edge, playing on our U18 Female Prep team. In 2021/22, she was presented with the U18 Top Freshman Award (Female Prep Division). In 2022/23, Makayla was named a CSSHL First Team All-Star after putting up 23 points (13 goals, 10 assists) in 29 games.
• Sarah played on our Female Prep team for four seasons (2017-2021), compiling 107 points in 69 CSSHL regular season games. Sarah will be entering her third season with the University of Wisconsin Badgers, who won their seventh NCAA national championship last season. Sarah was a member of the WCHA all-academic team, as well as a WCHA and All-Big Ten scholar student-athlete.
